On day two, we started our work placement. I was with primary school children, a long with a girl from a different college who was also doing Erasmus. In the first class we interacted with the children a little bit as they could speak a small bit of English which was cool. After that class I followed the teacher to their next english class but it was mostly spoken in Spanish which was interesting but because of the language barrier it was a struggle to interact. It was evident that most children did not speak a lot of English, which was sad because I’d hoped to interact a lot more with them. During lunch we got to interact with some other teachers, and they all seemed positive and friendly. I have to say this school did seem really lovely, and I got a good impression from it.
